» Unbecoming will be a fansite dedicated to Faith Lehane, the "bad" Slayer from the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel (including canonical appearances in Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8 comics).
Faith is a troubled Slayer with a turbulent relationship with her over-achieving predecessor, Buffy. Although she goes dark, he soul is saved by the vampire Angel, setting her on a "twelve-steppy" path to redemption.
» Duskfall is a mini-fansite dedicated to the exploration of Midna, as a character, from the video game Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. There's analysis of her role within the game as well as her relationship to Link and snippets from interviews about her and who she is.
Midna is important to me because she represents a fully fleshed out and nuanced female character with relatable motivations presented as an equal and valid counterpart to male characters, in a video game.
Fanlistings
» Vroom! is a fanlisting to Kara In-Ze, the DCAU Supergirl.
This Kara was found by Superman on Argo, sister world to his home planet of Krypton, and adopted the secret identity "Kara Kent". Despite his protestations, free-spirited Kara took on the identity of Supergirl and provided a valuable asset both to Clark and later to the Justice League.
» Like Human is a fanlisting to Kara Zor-El/Kent, Smallville's iteration of Supergirl, as portrayed by Laura Vandervoort.
Riffing on the recent re-introduction of Kara Zor-El by DC Comics, Smallville's Kara was sent to Earth to raise the baby Kal-El. However, her ship was submerged on landing and kept her in suspended animation for some 20 years.
» Call Me Queen is a fanlisting to Etna, of Nippon-Ichi's Disgaea series of video games.
The snark-tastic and narcissistic Etna's loyalties fluctuate throughout both Disgaea 1 and 2 depending on what she perceives to be of greatest benefit to her.
» Waving Not Drowning is a fanlisting to Square-Enix/Disney's Kingdom Hearts series of video games.
Kingdom Hearts is just crack: it just is. On the sliding scale of Idealism to Realism, it slips right off the end at "Idealism" — and there's no justifying it. On the other hand, you hit things with an oversized key.
